I am taking a little break from the blog this week, which gives me the perfect opportunity to introduce you to some of my favorite craft blogging friends! First up is Carolina from 30 Minute Crafts. Carolina is a master of quick, approachable craft tutorials, and I am so pleased she agreed to share a few projects today!
Hi! I’m Carolina from 30 Minute Crafts, and Jessica invited me here today to share some fun crafts with you. As you probably guessed from my site’s name, I love quick crafts. All the projects I share at 30MinuteCrafts.com all take me 30 minutes or less to create.
I love to create fast holiday crafts and make jewelry in 30 minutes, like this washi tape necklace, and these fast star earrings. But, I also like to do crafts for my kids. Yes, I said FOR and not WITH. While I love to do crafts with my kids, they are both under 5, so sometimes the end result isn’t what I was hoping for. So sometimes I do crafts for them, making them something that they can enjoy day after day and week after week.
I thought I’d share with you three of these fun crafts for kids that you can make in 30 minutes or less. The first are these Googly Eye Dice. While I’m sure that these wouldn’t be legal at any casino in Vegas (or Atlantic City), they are a fun way to change up a board game. If your kids have gotten bored from playing the same old game, you can spice it up with a new set of dice. These are super easy to make, too!
The second is a simple cowboy vest. Just some felt, scissors, and a quick line of sewing on the sewing machine. If you don’t sew, you could use fusible hem tape, or even a line of hot glue to secure the sides, and get your little cowboy going.
Finally, here is a simple washcloth hand puppet. I provide a pair of templates to make this, and while you do need a sewing machine to stitch it up, the stitching is simple and straight-forward. 30 minutes is not a lot of time to get fancy with these projects, so I try to keep it simple. And this washcloth puppet has been a bath time hit ever since he made it to the tub. Makes washing up so much more fun!
I’ve got plenty more 30 Minute Crafts Tutorials for you to check out, so I hope you’ll stop by! And a huge thanks to Jessica for letting me come take over here at Mad in Crafts today!
