Although I finished decorating my daughter’s Fairy Garden bedroom almost two years ago, I still like adding little touches along the way. Most recently, I added a set of Big Blooms flowers to the wall above her bed. These paper flowers are easy to assemble and use and make a big impact in her room.
The Big Bloom kit includes everything you need to create large paper flowers. Each box includes petal and center pieces, including adhesive, so you don’t need a single craft supply or tool to make a set of pretty paper flowers.
I created a time lapse video showing you how I assembled one of the blooms from this kit of five 6 inch wide blooms. It took me an average of 15 minutes to make each flower, but it is a great activity to do while parked in front of your favorite movie or TV show.
The paper flowers are perfect for decorating. You can use them to customize parties, special events, nurseries and more! I used the blooms in my daughter’s room, but I think they would be a fantastic addition to a dorm room. The flowers make a huge statement and can be hung with 3M strips and removed without damaging dorm room walls!
Assembling the flowers is fun, but I really enjoyed manipulating the individual paper petals to give the flowers dimension. The paper is thick enough that you can work it between your fingers to give the petals realistic waves and ripples. The paper will rip if you work it too quickly though, so be gentle.
I, of course, love the splash of glitter in the center of each blossom. It is just enough to draw your eye in without being gaudy. Although the flowers are made of paper, I would feel very comfortable using these to decorate for a wedding.
The blooms are available in a wide variety of sizes. The smaller blooms look great in groups, while the largest flowers make a big impact on their own. The blooms are available in white as well as shades of pink, turquoise, and yellow.
Big Blooms kits are available at Michael’s stores. Where would you use these pretty paper flowers?

I was wondering if I bought one…can I trace the pattern and make my own out of cardstock paper? Thanks for sharing.

I think the paper is similar to cardstock, so it is worth a try, You do get more than one flower in a kit though.
