Punxsutawney Phil said we are supposed to have an early Spring, but I haven’t seen too many signs of it yet. If the outdoors isn’t going to cooperative (and how often is it, really?), it’s easy to force Spring indoors! I have rounded up 12 of my past tutorials that are perfect for getting a jump start on Spring and decorate for Easter.
This project is fun, easy, and educational for any littles you may have in the house. All you need is a food storage bag, a damp paper towel, and a bean seed to be able to watch the miraculous germination of a seed to a seedling.
The ground outside might be too hard yet to plant, but you can still get started on your backyard garden. Use birthday party streamers from the dollar store to create quick and easy seed tapes. This is a great project for little hands, and the tapes will make planting your garden much easier!
Did you know you can force bulbs to flower early indoors? The process of forcing gladiolus is surprisingly simple, and you get to watch the fun germination process as you do it!
Most hummingbirds won’t show up until the weather is warmer, but you can get started on this recycled wine bottle hummingbird feeder already. Plus, it gives you an excuse to buy another bottle of wine, right?
Nothing says Spring quite like pretty pastels and preppy argyle. I was able to make this whole wreath out of scraps from my stash!
Who wouldn’t want to be handed a bouquet of flowers each time you return home? Now you can with this 5-minute front door bouquet. Fill it with silk or fresh blossoms to be greeted by a touch of Spring every time you use your door.
Cheap plastic eggs don’t make particularly elegant home décor, but you might be surprised what a little sugar can do to dress them up! Make faux sugared eggs using a pack of Easter eggs from the dollar store.
Not all sophisticated Spring décor needs to come from a pricey catalog. Get a similar look with Spring-y printables and dollar store knick-knacks.
Combine faux sugared eggs with a distressed terracotta pot to create a simple and sophisticated Easter centerpiece. Did I mention it’s all from the dollar store?
Not everything from the dollar store looks good straight from their shelves. But take a simple garden stone home and add some craft paint, and you can have a unique and beautiful piece for your home.
Foam eggs from the dollar store become realistic-looking robin’s eggs with a simple paint treatment. You can use the eggs as vase filler, craft embellishments, and more!
Brighten up your living room furniture with Spring-y throw pillows. With some easy freezer paper stenciling, you can add trendy pattern to dollar store throw pillow covers.
