GINGERBREAD-SCENTED WHIPPED BODY BUTTER

Equipment

  • measuring cups and spoons
  • heat-safe bowl OR measuring cup
  • hand mixer and medium bowl OR stand mixer

Materials

  • ½ cup shea butter
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 10-15 drops gingerbread fragrance oil

Instructions

  • Add the shea butter and coconut oil to a heat-safe bowl or measuring cup.

  • Heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute, then remove and stir well. If not fully melted, heat for an additional 30 seconds, then stir well again.

  • Transfer to a bowl or a stand mixer, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Remove from the refrigerator, and beat on high for 5 minutes, stopping to scrape the sides every minute, until you have a light and fluffy cream.

  • Add the fragrance oil and mix on low to incorporate.
  • Add mixture to an airtight jar.
