Quick. Go rummage through the drawer where you keep your pens. You know the one with the spare change and twist ties floating all around. I bet you have a Sharpie® in there somewhere. I have three: two black and one red (that I think my husband accidentally brought home from work). I use Sharpies all the time, for everything from marking cardboard boxes to craft projects.
Just last week I shared my DIY Quote Plates project where I used Sharpies to add fun quotes to dollar store plates. I used Sharpies 80s Glam multi-pack for those plates, but Sharpie has plenty of varieties of multi-packs. Their convenient 12-count packages mean there’s no need to pick just one color for your next project.
This Friday, I will be sharing a delicious holiday cookie recipe. Here’s a sneak peak.
Notice the fun, red, gold, and silver plate? That’s another dollar store plate that I embellished with gold and silver permanent markers.
Instead of shelling out $10 for a special holiday plate at a home decor store, I created my own by adding a chevron-esque pattern. All I had to do was mark off stripes on the plate with painter’s tape and add in some deliberately imperfect gold diagonals. I removed the tape an added silver lines going diagonally the other way. After heat setting the plate, I had a photo ready cookie platter.
Sharpie has a whole line of new metallic permanent markers that are perfect for your holiday craft projects. Whether you are decorating your Christmas cards, personalizing an ornament, or just making your list and checking it twice, Sharpie has you covered!
